Winning a Chess Tournament

Since I won my first chess tournament I feel almost unstoppable, but it really didn't look that way before? My opponent should have moved their queen to f2 instead of f3 to prepare to checkmate my king, so that was a fatal mistake because then bishop takes queen! This was a remarkable comeback since my opponent didn't see it coming, but I did however see it.
This wasn't the only thing that was blundered in the game because I blundered a rook rather than my queen because that would of been a worse move in chess if you know the value of each individual piece, and why its more important? But beyond that I feel it was my best game so far, and the first chess tournament that I won, but there will be more wars to wage...
