Queen captured, Black resigns

Last night I was playing in a chess tournament again, and when I was being attacked by Black I did everything I could to fend off the attack, but rook to f1 was a good move because I was able to capture Black's queen after queen takes pawn on f2, and Black resigned, since the queen had no legal move and could not escape capture, which is why I had the advantage!
This is an example of what to do if Black's queen attacks, and White defends against the odds, if you play the odds?
