Cracking Cicada 3301

We often wonder who or what was behind the Cicada 3301 puzzles since that's how I believe it all started? Some say it's the NSA, CIA, or MI6, or a secret society but I think it belongs to cyber security because of the cryptographic nature of the puzzles?

I came across something similar but when I read something in the source code it said it was inspired by the Cicada 3301 puzzles but isn't part of it, but I've been able to find a match to something else that tells me it is Cicada, and I know who's behind it, only I just can't prove it but out of respect we shouldn't try to find out because that's not what the puzzles are suppose to reveal, only through the encryption itself as I discovered earlier, but ignore this!
